Bayer HealthCare has more than 130 years of experience in developing and producing pharmaceuticals. An integral part of this expertise is the development
of biotech products such as recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies,
which we successfully pursue for about 20 years. Today our well established know-how together with our excellent infra-structure open up new opportunities in the area of modern industrial bio-pharmaceuticals. Our Pharma Biotech center in Wuppertal (Germany) is well established as center of excellence for highly efficient biotech development and manufacturing. Since about 2 years we use our technical and GMP infrastructure increasingly for custom development and contract manufacturing for external clients. Our long term established technical expertise, flexibility and know-how allow our customers to speed up their projects and get fully compliant GMP production of drug substance at very competitive prices. The Wuppertal site has 2 separate state-of-the-art microbial and mammalian biotech facilities with modern equipment.
